You will nevertheless be given significant opportunities to assist on matters which may be multi-disciplinary, cross-border, complex and high-profile in nature. We currently offer 5 overseas secondments to Brussels, Chicago, Hong Kong, Paris and São Paolo. As of September 2008, trainees will also have the opportunity to experience our New York office. If you don't want to stray too far, a wealth of in-house experience is also available via client secondments within the UK. Our 2008/9 trainee intake of 35-40 is relatively low for a firm of our magnitude. Trainees are given high levels of responsibility, case management and client contact from an early stage. The firm also has an extensive support network in place throughout the training contract in the form of senior-level support and continuous appraisals. Work Experience Programmes 2009There are 36 placements during the Easter and summer vacations. The three-week placements provide an excellent opportunity to experience day-to-day life in an international practice. Students gain experience in two of the our principal work groups, and the practice also organises a programme of seminars, visits and social events with trainees. |
