Trainees sit with either a partner or a lawyer and you will quickly find yourself at the centre of the action and that your legal and overall professional skills are growing daily. Our six month seat system enables you to gain hands on experience in four different areas of our business, working with other lawyers, gaining knowledge in different service areas and dealing with our all important clients. We are looking for ambitious, focussed individuals with law or non-law degrees. Currently we are looking to recruit 50 trainees to commence training in September 2011/March 2012. Academic achievement is key, and you will need to achieve at least a 2.1 in your degree, but we also want rounded individuals who can fit smoothly into our teams as trainees need to work with people in our international offices and with clients throughout the world. Our vacation scheme provides a unique insight into working life at Simmons & Simmons. We run two four week schemes during the summer which enable you to get a genuine view of the firm.
