Company Description

Linklaters is a global law firm that advises the world's leading companies, financial institutions and governments. With offices in major business centres in Europe, Asia and the Americas, we specialise in delivering innovative solutions for our clients' most challenging transactions and assignments.

Our business covers three core areas - corporate, finance & projects and commercial - and over 20 different practice areas. These include corporate/M&A, capital markets, banking, projects, asset finance, real estate & construction (including environment & planning), litigation & arbitration, intellectual property, IT & communications, EU/competition, employment, pensions & incentives, financial markets, investment management and tax.

Linklaters lawyers operate as an integrated, worldwide team of problem solvers. By joining us you will benefit from working in a firm with solid coaching and a supportive ethos. You will learn from colleagues at the peak of their profession, from different cultures and countries.

Your training is a top priority for us. You will hit the ground running when you arrive at our London offices thanks to a unique Business Foundation Programme, designed and run by Manchester Business School, which focuses on improving your commercial awareness and gives you a fascinating insight into our own and our clients' business. We also keep in touch with you at Law School through our LPC Liaison Programme. We believe that flexibility is key to meeting your needs as an individual and those of the firm. When you start work we will agree your seat plan of four, six-month seats, tailored to your specific strengths and interests. Almost all of our trainees spend time in one of our international offices or on secondment with one of our global clients. And our open-door policy ensures that you always have access to a mentor, because at Linklaters we pride ourselves on strong teamwork, both with each other and with our clients. We run two summer vacation schemes for 60 penultimate year law students and a Christmas scheme for 30 final year non-law students. The remuneration is £250 a week. We also offer the opportunity on our summer scheme to spend two weeks in one of our other European offices.
